FAQ
Based on an artist initiative, OVRA Archives is the first archiving project to offer an
internationally known and widely used archiving software in combination with an internet
plattform and secure online storage space, at an affordable price, for artists of all mediums.

  • OVRA Archives is not just a website, but an online archiving project focusing on continuity. It serves as an
accompaniment to the personal homepage and delivers a structured, organized and informative overview
of the artist and his/herwork. For these reasons, the presentation of each artist is always the same.
    OVRA
    Archives
is unpretentious and without extra graphics, colors or advertising, so that the individual artist is always
shown to his or her bestadvantage.

  • OVRA Archives combines documentation and data exchange with affordable internet presence, digital
    storage and backup.
Every artist receives his or her own password protected personal account on the OVRA
    Archives
FTP-server. In addition to the archived and published information, the artist can store important
    digital files in this account.
The files are secured with a daily backup. Thus, the personal account becomes an
online secured storage space that can be viewed anytime, from anywhere.

  • OVRA Archives provides a tool for archiving and documenting an artist and his or her work, regardless
    of medium.
It supports the archiving of today‘s newest media including installations, performances, video, film
and sound. Artists can collect and arrange information about their work at any time.

  • OVRA Archives uses MuseumPlus software to ensure a professional, longlasting continuity for the
    archived artists and their works.
Because the demands on today‘s artists have increased, OVRA Archives
enables artists to save time by archiving their work ONCE with multiple usages for later. The artists themselves
can decide about how detailed the object entries should be. Once entered, the data is electronically archived and
can be further transferred and exchanged.
